Water Filtration in Irving That Still Makes Sense Years From Now

We test your water, then help you pick the system that fits it: under-sink reverse osmosis for drinking water, whole-house carbon filtration for chlorine taste and smell, iron and sediment filters, and a softener only when a hardness test calls for one. We work in homes across Irving, Coppell and Grand Prairie.

What Shapes the Cost of a Filtration System

No two homes end up with the same price, and that is a good thing, because you should only pay for what your water needs. Here is what moves the number, both on install day and over the years after.

Your estimate comes in writing with each part and step listed separately, plus the expected upkeep for the first few years. We offer Free installation and a Lifetime warranty on the majority of parts. Nothing gets added once the work starts without talking with you first.

What your test shows
Treating chlorine taste is a simpler job than treating iron, sediment and hardness at once. The test results set the scope, which is why we do them first.
Type of system
An under-sink reverse osmosis unit serves one faucet. A whole-house carbon system treats every tap and shower, so it costs more to install but covers far more of your home.
Filter life and replacement parts
Some systems use small cartridges that need changing often. Others use larger media tanks that last much longer between service visits. This is often the biggest difference in what a system costs you over ten years.
Where it goes and how we get there
When the main water line sits in an open garage or utility area, the labor stays light. A line hidden behind drywall, in a crowded closet or under a cramped cabinet takes more time, and so does a long run to the nearest drain.
Drain and power needs
Reverse osmosis needs a drain connection, and softeners and some iron filters need both a drain and an outlet. If those are not already close by, we include that work in the estimate.

Water Filtration Services for Your Home

Almost every customer begins with water testing, since the numbers point to what your home calls for and what it can skip. Based on those results, we install under-sink reverse osmosis, whole-house carbon filtration, and iron and sediment filtration. Water softeners go in only after a hardness test shows they will earn their keep. After a system is in place, our filter replacement and maintenance service keeps it working the way you paid for.

    Water testing

We test the water at your tap for hardness, iron, chlorine taste and more, then explain the results plainly before any equipment is discussed.

    Under-sink reverse osmosis

Clean drinking and cooking water from one kitchen tap, with the yearly filter cost laid out before you decide.

  • Water softeners

We test your water's hardness first, then size a softener only if the numbers call for one, with salt and upkeep costs laid out before you buy.

  • Whole-house carbon filtration

A carbon system on your main water line that takes out chlorine taste and smell at every faucet and shower, sized for long media life and simple upkeep.

  • Iron and sediment filtration

Stop orange stains, gritty aerators and clogged fixtures with a filter sized to what your water test shows, plus a clear picture of upkeep.

  • Filter replacement and maintenance

We change cartridges, check membranes and pressure, and leave a written schedule so your filtration system keeps doing the job you paid for.

Why Neighbors Choose Us

A filter that is cheap to buy can be expensive to own. We show you both numbers so the system you choose still feels like a good decision in year five. That approach has earned us 4.9 stars across 325 Google reviews.

We test before we suggest

You get a look at your results before you hear a single product name. If your water is fine for what you care about, we will tell you so and leave it there.

Ownership cost on paper

Every estimate lists the install price, how often each cartridge or membrane needs changing, and roughly what those parts run. You can compare a cheaper unit with pricier filters against a sturdier one with longer service intervals.

Sized for how you use water

A household of two and a household of six wear through filters at very different rates. We size systems to your real usage so you are not paying for capacity you never touch or swapping cartridges every few weeks.

Honest answers on softeners

Softeners are a big purchase with salt and upkeep attached. We only recommend one when your hardness numbers show scale is a real problem in your home.

Careful in your home

We lay down drop cloths under sinks and near the water line, shut off and restore water cleanly, and haul away packaging and old parts before we leave.

A Local Company That Starts With Your Questions

Water Filtration Irving was built on a simple idea. Most people do not need the biggest system on the market. They need the right one, explained clearly, with no surprises when the first replacement filters come due. We are NSF certified, and we hold every install to that standard.

So we test first and talk plainly. We will tell you when a simple under-sink unit covers your concerns, and we will tell you when a whole-house system is the better long-term buy. North Texas summers mean heavy water use in many homes, and we factor that into how fast filters will wear. Our goal is a system you are still glad you chose years from now.

From First Call to Clean Water

A typical install fits into a few hours of a single visit. These are the steps, starting the moment you pick up the phone.

  1. 1

    A conversation about your water

Tell us what is bothering you: a taste, a smell, spots on glasses, or simply wanting to know what is in your tap. We set a time to visit.

  2. 2

    Testing at your home

We test the water and check your plumbing layout, including where the main line enters and what space you have under the sink. Where a question needs lab work, we explain that option and what it adds.

  3. 3

    Options with real numbers

We walk you through the results and give you one or two written options, each with install cost and expected yearly upkeep. Take your time deciding.

  4. 4

    Installation and cleanup

On install day we protect the work area, fit the system, flush it, and check for leaks. Then we show you how it works and where the filters are, and we clean up.

  5. 5

    Upkeep when it is due

When filters reach the end of their rated life, our filter replacement and maintenance service handles the swap so performance does not quietly slip.

Common Questions

My city water meets the standards. Do I still need a filter?
Maybe not, and we are happy to say so. City water that meets federal and state rules is safe to drink. People usually filter for other reasons, like chlorine taste, minerals that leave spots, or older pipes inside the home. A test tells you which, if any, apply to you.
How do I get rid of the chlorine taste and smell?
Carbon is the standard answer. An under-sink reverse osmosis unit with carbon stages takes care of drinking and cooking water at one faucet. Whole-house carbon filtration treats every tap and shower if the smell bothers you while bathing too.
The pipes in my house are older. Is lead something to think about?
It is worth checking. When lead turns up in tap water, the source is most often aging pipes, old solder joints or brass fixtures inside the house rather than the utility's supply. A sample drawn from your own faucet is the only way to know for sure. If the results do show lead, under-sink reverse osmosis is a strong fit for the water your family drinks and cooks with.
Do I need a water softener?
Only if your hardness numbers support it. Softeners cost money to install and need salt and periodic service, so we recommend one only when a hardness test shows scale is causing real trouble. Otherwise that money is better spent elsewhere.
How often do filters need changing?
That comes down to the system you pick and how many people draw water from it each day. Small cartridges may want replacing a few times a year, while reverse osmosis membranes and larger whole-house media go much longer between changes. Every estimate we write includes the replacement schedule for each part, so you can budget ahead.
Does reverse osmosis waste a lot of water?
Reverse osmosis sends some water down the drain as it filters, and how much varies by unit. Newer, more efficient models send less to the drain. We will show you the ratio for any unit we recommend so you can weigh it against the price.
Can you tell me the cost over the phone?
We can talk through typical options and what affects the price. A firm number needs a look at your water and plumbing first. After the visit you get a written estimate with install cost and expected upkeep listed line by line.
